Peles Castle, Romania

From the picture in the website, this looks like a fairy-tale castle, I would need to make a trip to witness it myself.

Peles Castle is located in the mountain in Prahava County, Romania. Tons of history behind it.

Take a 2-hours scenic drive from Bucharest. We finally reached...

Parking our car at the public carpark, take a 10 mins up-slope stroll to the castle. Not too far though...
LOOK AT THAT... WOW...
I thought I am just looking at a poster...

There are stalls on the left side of the street, before entering to the castle, selling souvenirs and handicrafts...

Entrance Fee is reasonable...

Peles Castle is built between 1873 and 1914. Even after a century, all furnishing are still intact (according to the guide). Every piece of the furniture is an antique. Very well maintained...

On top of the entrance fee, you have to pay a premium in order to allow you to take photo inside the castle. Since you travel all the way here, might as well take some photos to keep as a memory right??? **gags**

Entrance Hall... Look at those sculptures on the wall...

This amour weighing around 100 kg. Pity those warriors...

There are basically too many photos to be post here... 3 of us, with 3 cameras... we took almost 300 photos in 1 castle... Every piece of sculpture, vase, furniture...etc

Worth a visit!
