Taichung is an industrial city on the western side of central Taiwan. It’s a gateway for exploring the island’s mountainous interior, including nature areas like Sun Moon Lake, popular for boating and hiking. Some shopper recommend that this is the best shopping area in term of cost.
逢甲夜市 (pinyin: Féng Jiǎ Yè Shì) Feng Chia Night Market
This will be our first stop to Taichung as it is the most Popular Night Market in Taichung, therefore, we literally book our accommodation right next to the Night Market. It has a mixture of shops and stalls, and even push carts. Fashion, mobile, accessories...etc can be find there. Not forgetting, majority of the stalls are selling food...

日月潭 (pinyin: Rì Yuè Tán) Sun Moon Lake
Is a lake in Nantou County, rating as the biggest body of water in Taiwan. Perimeter ranging around 70km, quite a number of hard-core cyclist come here to take up the challenge; not about the distance, the elevation call the shot.
The lake surround a tiny island called Lalu, which is the home of Thao tribe, one of aboriginal tribes of Taiwan. As there is different in the color of the water, the east side of the lake resembles a sun while the west side resembles a moon, hence the name; Sun Moon Lake. Other than the attractive lake that draw thousand of visitors each year, there are many other attractions surrounding the lake.
龍鳳宮月老廟 (Longfeng Temple)
Is the nearest attraction upon enter to the Sun Moon Lake. Recommended for photo-taking as Longfeng Temple is on the elevated ground. May also admire the traditional temple artifacts.

文武廟 (Wen Wu Temple)
The most touristic temple in Sum Moon Lake. It venerating both the patron gods of civil and martial affairs in the same temple complex. Temple artifacts are expanded during the expansion of touristic in Sun Moon Lake.
日月潭纜車站 (Riyuetanlan Cable Car Station)
The only cable car station in Sun Moon Lake, where it can bring you to the highest point to capture the body of water. Choice between the normal cable car and the glass bottom cable car. If there is no queue, definitely will want to experience the glass bottom type, isn't it? The ending station is at the entrance of 九族文化村 (Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village). You can literally give it a miss if you are not entering the Culture Village.
